WATCH: John Ludvig Scores First Professional Goal

Former Winterhawks captain Johnny Ludvig scored his first professional goal on Monday afternoon with the Syracuse Crunch in a 4-3 win against the Rochester Americans.

Ludvig’s eventual game-winning tally came 14:29 into the third period.  Through his first seven American Hockey League games, the Hawks defenseman has posted three points and ten shots on goal, including an assist in his first professional game.  Ludvig was drafted in the third round, 69th overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Last season, Ludvig finished third among WHL defensemen with 62 points and a plus-46 rating in 60 games with the Winterhawks.
