What are the Winterhawks / Veterans Memorial Coliseum policies?
- Bags larger than 5″ x 8″ and backpacks are not permitted.
- The Rose Quarter is a smokeless and cashless facility. There will not be any designated smoking areas that allow reentry and there will not be any cash accepted at any ticketing or concession stands.
What kinds of promotions does the team run?
Each year, the Winterhawks host popular promotional game nights such as the annual Hawks Fight Cancer night for cancer awareness, Les Schwab Teddy Bear Toss, New Year’s Eve midnight balloon drop, and Mascot Night.
How can I get a ride on the Winterhawks’ Fanboni?
During intermission at regular home games, the Les Schwab Fanboni takes a spin on the ice. If you have a group that would like to ride the Fanboni, please call (503) 236-HAWK. (Fits 8 adults or 10 kids)
How can I meet the players/get autographs?
If you’d like to meet the players, please check the “Upcoming Events” page under the Fans tab at winterhawks.com for a list of player appearances throughout the Portland metro area.

Where can I watch road games?
The Winterhawks normally host numerous viewing parties at different locations throughout the Portland metro area. Check out the “Viewing Locations” page under the Fans tab often to find a place to cheer on your Hawks during their next road contest. All games are also available to watch live and on demand on WHL Live on CHL TV.
What do the Winterhawks players do in the community?
When they’re not playing at home or on the road, the Hawks are out in the community meeting fans. The players make multiple appearances throughout the season at hospitals. For more information, click here.

Where should I stay as a visiting fan?
The Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center is the official hotel of the Portland Winterhawks. Simply state you are a Winterhawks fan to receive special offers. The hotel has special amenities such as high-speed internet, shuttle service to the airport, close proximity to the Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum and parking.
