Ross collected six points, scoring five goals and one assist to go with a +6 rating, in four games this past week.

On Monday, September 27th the Winterhawks hosted the Vancouver Giants at the Rose Garden in Portland.  Ross scored the game winning goal and added an assist as his 1st Star performance helped the Winterhawks to a 7-2 drumming of the Giants.  Two nights later, at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, the Giants hosted the Winterhawks in the back half of the home-and-home series.  Ross scored twice and was again named the games 1st Star as the Winterhawks edged the Giants 4-3.  On Saturday, October 2nd the Winterhawks hosted US Division rivals the Seattle Thunderbirds.  Ross picked up one goal and was named the games 3rd Star in their 3-2 shoot-out loss to the T-birds.  The next night the Winterhawks tripled the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-2 with Ross finding the net for one goal.

Ross’ five goals to kick off the season has him sitting in a tie for 2nd among all WHL goal scorers in four games played.  The Portland Winterhawks have jumped out of the gates posting a 3-1-0-1 record to start the 2010-11 WHL season placing them 3rd in the WHL US Division with seven points.
