Winterhawks announce first round playoff schedule vs. Everett

Portland, Ore. – After another successful regular-season campaign, the Portland Winterhawks are playoff-bound for the 12th consecutive season! Your #3 seed Winterhawks will open the postseason against the #6 seed Everett Silvertips as they chase a fourth Ed Chynoweth Cup.

The Winterhawks went 6-1-1-0 against the Silvertips this season, including a rousing 7-2 win in front of a raucous VMC crowd on New Year’s Eve. Luca Cagnoni starred in games against Everett with 13 points (1G, 12A) in just eight games played to lead all skaters from both teams, while Robbie Fromm-Delorme showed off his finishing touch with six goals in the season series, which also leads both clubs.

Portland is 16-15 in all-time playoff games against Everett, scoring exactly 100 goals in that span. The two clubs last met in the 2018 WHL Playoffs during the second round, where the Silvertips took a 4-1 series victory.
