Portland, OR – The Portland Winterhawks are set to begin their 2021 Training Camp presented by H2Oregon on Friday, March 5. All players and immediate staff members are required to follow league-wide COVID-19 protocols, which includes at-home isolation before returning to the rink and frequent testing during the shortened campaign, to ensure the health and safety of WHL Member Clubs for the duration of the 2021 Regular Season.
When the Winterhawks take the ice for their first practice of the season on Friday it will mark the end of a 358 day hiatus between on-ice, team activities. Following an abbreviated Training Camp, the Winterhawks will open their season in Kennewick, Wash. on Thursday, March 18 at 7:05 p.m. PT against the Tri-City Americans. All March home games will be played at the accesso ShoWare Center Kent, Wash.
The Winterhawks will have 23 players in attendance, including 13 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
