The WHL has also nominated Eric Williams of the Spokane Chiefs for the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week award.  A 20-year-old from Langley, B.C., Williams posted a 2-1-0 record with a shutout in three appearances over the past week.  On Wednesday, February 12th, Williams stopped 32 of 34 shots and was the game’s 2nd Star in a 2-1 loss to the visiting Kelowna Rockets.  On Saturday, February 15th, he stopped all 16 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season and was named the game’s 3rd Star in a 7-0 win over the visiting Tri-City Americans.  On Sunday, February 16th, Williams made 34 saves on 37 shots and was the game’s 1st Star in a 5-3 triumph over the visiting Everett Silvertips.  Williams is in his fourth and final season in the WHL, and third season with the Chiefs.  He was selected by the Prince Albert Raiders in the fourth round, 71st overall, in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.   Williams is a free agent.
