Five Winterhawks Highlight NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings

The Portland Winterhawks are pleased to announce five players have been named to NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings in preparation for the 2020 NHL Draft. Four forwards and one defenseman make up the quintet of ranked Winterhawks, giving Portland the most ranked players compared to the other WHL member clubs.

Winnipeg-born Seth Jarvis was the highest ranked Hawk on the list, clocking in at 19th on the North American skaters rankings. Simon Knak (61st), Cross Hanas (65th), Jonas Brøndberg (107th) and Robbie Fromm-Delorme (165th) round out the Winterhawks on the January rankings.

The 2020 NHL Draft will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec from June 26 to 27, 2020. In total, 51 Western Hockey League players have been named to the NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings. Nineteen of the 22 member clubs have at least one player on the midterm rankings.
