12 Alumni Named on NHL Opening Night Rosters

The Portland Winterhawks are proud to announce 12 alumni will begin the 2019-20 season on National Hockey League Opening Night rosters.

The Winterhawks are tied for second with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL for the most ties to the NHL. Only the Kelowna Rockets (14) have more.

In total, 124 Winterhawks have played at least one game in the NHL since the organization moved to Portland 43 years ago. When former captain Cody Glass dresses in Vegas’ season opener against San Jose on Wednesday night, he will become the 125th Hawk to dress in an NHL game.
