2011-12: Drafted by Nashville in the third round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft…Represented Canada along with Ty Rattie in August in the Canada-Russia Challenge, a four-game set between the two teams…Nearly doubled his point total in 2011-12 from his rookie season, with 28 goals and 30 assists for 58 points in 65 games…Had 12 multi-point games on the season, including a hat trick and two assists for five points on Feb. 21 vs. Prince George…Marked his first career hat trick…Had four points on Dec. 30 vs. Victoria and four games with three points…Scored 10 power play goals and added two game-winning goals…Had a seven-game point streak from Oct. 15 – 28…Registered 15 points in 20 playoff games, including a six-game point streak from Game 3 of the Kamloops series through Game 1 of the Tri-Cities series.

Career: Sixteen-year-old rookie had 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points in inaugural WHL season…His 33 points tied him for 14th among WHL rookies…Had two goals and three assists for a five-point night on Jan. 26 vs. Chilliwack…One of five multi-point games on the season… Added three goals and four assists for seven points in the playoffs…Scored the game-winner in game 3 of the conference finals against Spokane…Played for Team West at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, and had three goals and two assists for five points in five games…Took home Booster Club’s Fan Favorite Award.
