2010-11: Selected in the first round, 23rd overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins…Led all Winterhawks defensemen with a career-high 49 points, the highest by a Portland blueliner since Richie Regehr’s 61 in 2002-03…His 49 points tied him for 13th in the WHL among defensemen…Had 13 multi-point games on the season, including four three-point games…Best month came in February, with 13 points in 10 games…Had a six-game point streak from Jan. 26 – Feb. 9…Was outstanding in the playoffs, with 20 points in 21 games…His 20 points led all Portland defensemen and was second in the WHL…Had six multi-point games in the postseason, including a three-point night in Game 2 of the second round series against Kelowna…Had a six-game playoff point streak from Game 3 of the first round series against Everett through Game 4 of the Kelowna series…Posted four points in the five-game WHL Finals…His six goals in 21 playoff games was just three shy of his nine regular season goals in 60 games.

Career: Posted 31 points in 63 games in 2009-10…Scored first career goal on Sept. 27/09 vs. Prince George…Had a career-high four assists on Oct. 10/09 vs. Prince Albert… Registered first career playoff point with an assist in Game 4 of the first round series against Spokane in 2010…Appeared in one game as a 15 year-old in the 2007-08 season, then 41 games in 2008-09 with seven assists… Selected by Portland in the second round, 28th overall, of the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft.
