Bittner Named To Top Prospects Game

Portland Winterhawks forward Paul Bittner has been selected to play in the 2015 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game January 22 in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Bittner, rated an ‘A’ prospect in the preliminary rankings by NHL Central Scouting, has 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 30 games this season.

“It’s an honor for Paul to be considered one of the top-40 draft prospects in the CHL, and he’s very deserving of the recognition,” said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach Jamie Kompon. “This marks the sixth straight year the Winterhawks have had at least one player in the game, with Paul the 14th player in that span, which is a great tribute to the organization.”

The 40 CHL players competing in the game were chosen by the 30 NHL clubs and divided into teams by NHL Central Scouting. This season’s event marks the 20th annual showcase of the CHL’s top-40 NHL Draft eligible players featuring talent from the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League competing before hundreds of NHL scouts in attendance.

Hawks Holiday Parties of 10 or more people are on sale now in addition to partial game ticket plans.  Contact the Winterhawks today at 503-236-HAWK or to guarantee the best seat locations.
