The Winterhawks fell 4-0 to the Silvertips in Game 5 of their second-round series. With the loss, Portland loses the best-of-seven series 4-1 to Everett and have been eliminated from the postseason.

The Silvertips got on first on a point shot that beat Winterhawks netminder Cole Kehler to make it 1-0 Everett. The Silvertips carried the one goal lead into the third period, when just 2:49 in, Riley Sutter knocked home a rebound to make it 2-0 Everett. Hawks forward Connor Barley was then sprung on a breakaway but denied by Silvertips netminder Carter Hart.

Silvertips defenseman Gianni Fairbrother then jammed home a rebound attempt to make it 3-0 Everett with just over 12 minutes to go. Portland would pull their netminder, but Christianson would bury his second of the game to make it 4-0 for the Silvertips. Everett would hold on for the 4-0 final.

With the loss, the Winterhawks are eliminated from the playoffs. Everett advances to the Western Conference final to take on the Tri-City Americans.

The three stars, as announced in the building, were Winterhawks over-agers, Alex Overhardt, Cole Kehler, and Keoni Texeira.
