Winterhawks fall short to Saskatoon Blades

Portland, OR – Sunday, December 3rd

The Portland Winterhawks returned from their six-game Canadian road trip for their Toy Drive night and fell short against the Saskatoon Blades 4-0.

After a scoreless first period, the Blades (11-14-2-1) would get on the board twice for a 2-0 lead to end the second period.

The Blades continued to out score the Winterhawks (20-5-0-1) in the third, with two goals from Cameron Hebig, one at the 16 minute mark, and the other at 19:29 into an empty net. Although the Hawks would outshoot the Blades 48 to 42, Saskatoon ended up with the 4-0 win.

Goaltender Shane Farkas was named third star and made 38 saves in the game.

The Winterhawks are at home this Friday, December 8th at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum as the Hawks take on the Vancouver Americans. Tickets for the season are on sale here, and single game and group tickets now on sale.
